Antyanax: Aunt Cassandra, why do you always seem so sad?
Cassandra: Because I see this world precisely as it is. That is enough to make anyone sad.
Antyanax: Everyone sees the world as it is; but you alone see the world as it will be. Surely you should be happy to be so special.
Cassandra: Antyanax, you speak of the curse that rends my soul.
Antyanax: A curse? But you can foretell the future.
Cassandra: And I can do nothing to alter it. I am tormented by my knowledge of future events, without the slightest ability to alter their course. Worse still, no one believes me, and I am perpetually branded a madwoman or a liar.

Well, since I really liked the idea of the latest contest - and since it's just one more test til I'm done with school - I decided to stick to it and draw our favourite heroes starring in an another greek myth.
I really wanted to draw Raven as Cassandra since the contest started - I think they are very much alike.^^ Both know about their future and both are unable to chance it. Well, the other Titans didn't treat Raven the way the Trojan people treat Cassandra - like she was mad - but I still see many similarities.
I wanted to draw one of Cassandra's visions, in which she foresees Troy to be destroyed and her family to be killed.
I did read Homer's Iliad, but this picture is mostly referring to two other books I read about Cassandra and I really liked - "The Firebrand" by Marion Zimmer Bradley and "Cassandra" by Christa Wolf.
I decided on drawing Terra and Star as Cassandra's sister - Terra maybe as Laodice or Polyxena (I leave that to your imagination I don't remember which one was more important to Cassandra ) and Star as Creusa. Creusa was married to Aeneas (which is represented by Robin in the picture), who - in both novels I read - had a secret relationship with her sister Cassandra (I just hope I'm not getting killed by RobxStar Fans. But you can't please anyone).
Why didn't I include other Titans? Simple, because these four are easiest to draw - at least for me xD
I'm not really satisfied - but I guess I just have to warm up after not drawing anything for a month or so.
I will do more Teen Titan/Greek Mythology Art in the future - I just feel like it ^.^ If you have any requests or suggestions, just let me know.
And I wanted to thank everyone who voted for me in the contest!!!!

I think Rae would manage to twist her curse around somehow. By lying to get people to into places they won't die, by taking up arms herself to save her brother... I can't see Raven dying in despair, can you? She's a fighter. Great artwork, here, loved her hair and dress!
